One of the easiest meals that the kids devour instantly is macaroni cheese. The beauty of this meal is that is it requires only very basic ingredients but can be jazzed up in an instant to make it something a little bit fancier!! One of the easiest meals that the kids devour instantly is macaroni cheese. Ingredients
2.5C macaroni
2C chicken stock
1C cream
S & P to taste
1 Tblsp butter
1C grated cheese
- Optional Ingredients
½ onion, bacon, baby spinach, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, frozen corn or peas
Directions
- Put first 4 ingredients into the Pressure Cooker and stir. Seal your pressure cooker and pop into the microwave on 900 Watts for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the pressure cooker from the microwave and allow the pressure indicator to drop.
- Stir through the grated cheese (more or less to taste) and butter, and then serve.
- To make your Mac n cheese a bit special your could chop onion in your Turbo chef and then add with the first four ingredients. Or you could add raw bacon at this stage too.
Or at the end of cooking when adding the grated cheese and butter, you could add chopped spinach, frozen corn and/or peas, or different types of cheese. - But if you’re anything like my kids, you may just prefer the original recipe and stick to that one every time!!! Happy mac & cheesing everyone!!
