Easy baked donuts to feed the tribe, team, party or workmates perhaps?

Ingredients

  • DONUTS
  • 1 cup plain flour

  • ¾ cup caster sugar or coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 small egg

  • ½ cup full cream milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbs butter

  • CINNAMON SUGAR COATING
  • ½ cup caster sugar or coconut sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • VANILLA ICIING
  • 1 cup icing sugar

  • 1 tbs butter, softened

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1-2 tbs milk

  • Food colouring of choice

  • Sprinkles, as desired

  • CHOCOLATE ICING
  • 1 cup icing sugar

  • ¼ cup cacao powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2-3 tbs milk

  • Sprinkles, as desired

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180◦C.
  • Place the TupperChef™ Baking Ring or Mini Cannelle Form (for star shaped donut holes) on a baking tray.
  • Add all donut ingredients into a Mix N Pour Bowl mix until combined.
  • Evenly distribute the batter into the cavities of the TupperChef Baking Ring, or Mini Cannelle Form making sure each cavity is only half full. 
  • Transfer to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until donuts bounce back when touched.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before unmolding.
  • Add a coating or frosting to the donuts.
  • For a cinnamon sugar coating, combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Lightly coat donuts in the cinnamon sugar. Serve.
  • For a vanilla icing, combine all ingredients (excluding sprinkles) in a bowl. Dip the donuts in the mixture, before scattering with sprinkles. Allow frosting to stand for 30 seconds until slightly hardened. Serve
  • For a chocolate icing, combine all ingredients (excluding sprinkles) in a bowl. Dip the donuts in the chocolate mixture, before scattering with sprinkles. Allow frosting to stand for 30 seconds until slightly hardened. Serve

Notes

  • For a chocolate flavoured donut, add 2-3 tbs cacao powder and 2 tbsmilk into the donut batter, before  icing with the chocolate frosting.
  • Use crushed nuts, chocolate flakes or crushed cookies as an alternative to  sprinkles.
